10 1/2 months and growing strong!

I haven't posted in awhile; so I thought I would give a quick update! Eva Marie and Ella Kate are growing up so fast. It's hard to believe they are 10 1/2 months old already. Their 1st birthday will be here before we know it, and I can't wait! I have already started planning it. I have ordered their outfits, picked out their invitations, and in the process of picking out decorations! They are moving around so much now; we are constantly having to follow them around. Ella Kate is crawling everywhere and is pulling up on everything! She is going to be our child that "has no fear." Nothing moves her at our house. We tell her "no" and she just looks at us, laughs, and moves on. She will bump her head and just keep moving. She said "dada" first on Father's Day, but now she constantly says "mama." She loves to clap, especially when we start singing patty cake to her. Eva Marie is crawling everywhere too, and she is fast! She is going to be the opposite of Ella Kate and be our "cautious" child. She is very hesitant to pull up on anything, unless we are there helping her. You can just say the word "no" to her, and her lip sticks out, and she will bury her head and cry. She's extremely sensitive. She can just barely bump her head, and she will cry. She said "momma" first, but now all she wants to say is "dada."
Even though they are different, they are a pair, and they love to play together and crawl after each other. However, they are competitive! They like going in the guest bedroom and playing for some reason. I think they like it because they can pull up on the bed, the window, and the chester drawers had lots of knobs and handles to pull on. The other night, both girls just started crawling into that room; it was hilarious!
At their 9 month appointment, Eva Marie weighed 18 pounds and 28 1/4 inches long, and Ella Kate weighed 21 pounds and 29 1/4 inches long. They both are growing so fast. The pictures below are mostly of Ella Kate standing up, and I'll get more pictures of Eva Marie this weekend!
One hand!

She loves to stick her tongue out and spit

Happy 4th Y'all!

Our first 4th of July was an eventful weekend spent in the doctor's office. Jerry and I were hoping for a relaxing and restful weekend; however, it did not turn out how we planned. Thursday night Eva Marie was not acting herself, and she was running a fever. She was ok Friday morning; so we took her to daycare...and Jerry and I ran some errands. I called to check on her, and she was running fever again and would not eat. I got her an appointment with the doctor, and she had an ear infection. Antiobiotic and ear drops for Eva Marie. I thought we would get through the weekend without Ella Kate getting it; however that did not happen. Sunday, we picked her up from Sunday School, and she was running fever. I took her to the doctor, and she had an ear infection as well. Antibiotic and ear drops for her too! THEN, I was in the doctor on Monday! Goodness, it was a long weekend, but we had a good time.

Do these babies look like they have ear infections???

Old Rocking Horse

Jerry's mom saved his old rocking horse and got it down from the attic 4th of July weekend. It was fun letting the girls sit with their daddy on the rocking horse that he used to play on when he was little. We look forward to the girls playing on the rocking horse in the years to come!
