Birthday Party and Baby Dedication!

There are so many things that have happened the past few weeks; it's hard to keep the blog updated! At the end of February, the girls went to their first birthday party! Our good friends, the Fosters, have triplets (Brody, Marley, and Macy) that are about 6 months older than Eva Marie and Ella Kate! (They also have a 4 year old, Mallory). The triplets turned 1, and they had a huge 1st birthday party! Stephanie had a photographer come take pictures at the party, and below are some pictures the lady took! She color tinted them, and they are so cute!

Also, Eva Marie and Ella Kate were dedicated to the church on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Ella Kate slept through it, but Eva Marie was wide awake--even through the prayer! They were so sweet and looked so pretty in their dedication dresses.

Dedication during the prayer. Yes, that is Eva Marie awake, looking at Ella Kate wondering why her eyes are closed! Ella Kate was sacked out!

Our family after we got home from church...As you can see Ella Kate decided to wake up!

Ella Kate at the Triplets birthday party. She has blue eyes, but they look more grayish blue to me. They are definitely darker than Eva Marie's eyes.

Happy Half Birthday Eva Marie and Ella Kate!!

Six months ago today, Jerry and I became the proud parents of Eva Marie and Ella Katherine DeFatta! They are our little miracle babies, and we love them more than anything! They are so precious to us, and we love spending every moment we can with them.

Eva Marie, you currently weigh 15 lbs and 10 oz. You were 5 lbs 13 oz when you were born. You love to play on the floor, however, usually after your supper, you want to be held. If we try to put you down, you scream! I will admit, in the past week though, you have gotten better about not screaming as badly. You are mommy and daddy's cuddle bunny. You love to snuggle with us; especially on the weekends! You are enjoying being on your stomach more and more each day. You have recently started to babble more; it's so sweet hearing you. You love to smile at your sister! You are teething, and you chew on your fingers constantly. You are very observant. You smile so much, and when you do, you have the most adorable dimples I have ever seen. You are ticklish on your back and feet. You have rolled over from your stomach to your back a few times, and you are still mastering rolling from your back to your stomach. You are so close! You have sat up a couple of times, and you are still gaining your balance. You love your monogrammed frog at naptime, and when you sleep, you love to get in the corner of your bed with your face up next to the bumper pad. When you feel like it, you can hold your own bottle! You have begun to eat baby food, and so far you love cereal, carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes, but you do not like sweet peas! Also, you love apple juice, pear juice, and applesauce; however, you are not a fan of bananas! You recently tried ice cream and cake icing...and you loved them!

Ella Kate, you currently weigh 17 lbs and 1 oz. When you were born, you were 5 lbs and 4 oz. You were smaller than your sister, but you have passed her! You love to play on the floor and in your jumper. At times, you like to be held, however, you usually want to be moving or doing something! You like to cuddle, but only when yo are extremely sleepy. You love to hear yourself talk. You babble all the time, and it is so sweet. Sometimes, you will scream really loudly, not because you are mad or upset; just because you feel like screaming! You love to smile; especially when we bounce you up and down. You have the most adorable laugh. You like to talk to your sister; even though she doesn't talk back to you. You are ticklish around your neck, your feet, and on your back! You are not a fan of being on your stomach. You don't mind it at first, but then you throw your arms out and bury your head. You have rolled from your back to your stomach once, and you are still trying to roll from your stomach to your back. You have sat up a good bit, and you are getting stronger every day! You have recently discovered your feet, and you love to play with them. You love to sleep with your monogrammed frog at naptime, and when you sleep, you pull the blanket right up to your nose, and your arms spread out on both sides. You can hold your bottle on your own, but you like to play with it! You have begun to eat baby food, you love cereal, squash, and sweet potatoes. You somewhat like the sweet peas, but you think they are bland. You do not like carrots, and you like to spit them at us! You love apple juice and pear juice. You also love applesauce, but you do not like bananas. You recently tried ice cream and cake icing...you loved them both!

Oh how they grow so fast....

Okay, I know the profile picture is not the greatest picture of the girls, but it is hilarious! We had been at our friend's house to celebrate their triplets 1st birthday, and the girls had flower hats on....well, when I took them off; their hair was crazy! I was trying to take some cute pictures of them in their jeans, but they were not very happy. Well, let me rephrase, Ella Kate was happy, and Eva Marie was not! I laugh everytime I look at that picture because it looks like Ella Kate has just pinched Eva Marie! I have a ton of pictures of them by themselves happy, but not too many of them together happy. For some reason, when I put them in their green chair together, Ella Kate is always trying to push Eva Marie out of the way; so she can have the spotlight. It's funny how their personalities have changed.

Here are some pictures we have taken over the past month of our little miracles!! They are growing too fast!
Daddy getting Ella Kate to dance and play with her drum...she loves it!
Don't let Ella Kate fool you, she does not like carrots as much as it looks like she does! She likes to play with them and spit them on us; more than she likes to actually eat them!
Eva Marie on the other hand, LOVES carrots! She might look like her daddy, but she likes the good veggies like her mommy!
Ella Kate pulled her ball towards her and was really focused on it!
Eva Marie was amazed by the flash on the camera
Ella Kate is starting to sit up! She has only done it a couple of times, and of course, we sit right behind her to make sure she does not fall over!
This was the girl's first Valentine's Day. They got cute bears from mommy and daddy!
However, Eva Marie got mad at her bear and tried to eat it's hand.
Belly time!
It snowed again in MS, and this time it was a lot! The girls were not as intrigued by it; they were just cold!

Can you tell that Ella Kate likes to stick her tongue out?
