Fall Fun!

Jerry and I took the girls to the Pumpkin Patch in Collins, MS, otherwise known as Mitchell Farms. It is so great, and I CANNOT wait to take the girls there next year. There is so much to do other than just going to pick out your pumpkins. They have an animal barn that you can walk through to see all the animals. They have goats that you can feed, and a big slide! Also, they had a pool full of corn, we tried putting the girls in it (as you can see in a picture below), however, they did not like it because some older kids jumped in it and scared them! You could go pick sunflowers out in the field, and they had a maze in the shape of the word Mississippi. It was really neat!! They also had a place where you could go inside, cool off, and eat. I am so thankful that our girls get to experience things like this, even if they don't remember it, we have the pictures to show them. The pictures below are not in order; so starting from the end of the day....
Ella Kate WIDE AWAKE on the way home from the pumpkin patch...pretty typical for her, she fights sleep! I think she talked the whole way home.

Eva Marie on the other hand, SACKED OUT the moment we put the car in drive and started heading out. She slept the whole way back too.
Sweet picture of Ella Kate

You'll see in a lot of these pictures that Eva Marie will put anything she finds in her mouth!

Eva Marie will even eat flowers!

Nana (aka Bethanie's mom) taught Eva Marie to say "Dog" the last time they were in town. And, she hasn't stopped saying it since then. Anything with 4 legs is considererd a dog! I think she actually saw a dog when Jerry took this picture.
Pool of corn...not happy about being in it!

Funny girl!

More Birthday

Jerry and I decided to start a couple of traditions for Eva Marie and Ella Kate's actual birthday. On the day of their birthday, we took them to eat breakfast, enjoyed spending time with them, and then we took them by to see the doctor that delivered them, Dr. Holland. She is so dear to us, it only seemed right to take them to see her on their 1st birthday! I made cupcakes for daycare, and then that night, we gave them their present from us. We decided this is something we will do every year. They get so many presents at their birthday party, we decided that we would just hold ours for their official birthday! (excuse the stains on their shirts, they had eaten spaghetti that day and gotten it all over themselves!!)
Excited to see their Pink Buggy!
Ella Kate strapped in and ready to go!
Loving her new ride!

Eva Marie "hamming it up" for the camera. This is what she does in most pictures now!

I love it when they look at each other; it's hilarious!

Say Cheese!!!

Finally, Birthday Pictures!

It's hard to believe that our little girls are now 13 months! Where has the time gone? I also can't believe that it's taken me this long to post pictures from their birthday party! Life has just been busy with the babies, football season, and just work in general. I have so many other pictures to post of things that have been going on such as our trip to the Pumpkin Patch, and some pictures that a friend of mine took of the girls. Be on the lookout for more pictures. I will try to do better about updating!

They had a lollipop theme birthday party! Welcome to lollipop land!

Some of the presents--Cozy Coupes from Mimi and Pops (Jerry's parents) and a red wagon from Nana and Papa (my parents) Also, see my cute sign I made for them in the background??

Flowers that my mom did for the party to go along with the theme

Favors that all the kids got, homemade sugar cookies, that I made in the shape of lollipops!

Yummy cake!

1st Beach Trip!

It has taken me forever to post; we have been so busy!! Jerry and I took Eva Marie and Ella Kate to the beach for the first time in August. We had such a wonderful time! It took the girls a day to get used to the sand and water, but by the second day, they did not mind it as much! Eva Marie kept trying to eat the sand. She did not quite understand that no matter how many times you put the sand in your mouth...it is going to taste the same everytime! The weather was so nice, and it was good to get away for a few days. We look forward to many more years at the beach with our precious girls.
As usual, Eva's hand in her mouth with sand all over it!
Sweet girls, Eva Marie still eating the sand and Ella Kate waving
Love this face

Such a sweet picture of Ella Kate

Counting down the days...

It's hard to believe that our sweet babies, Eva Marie and Ella Kate, will be a year old in September. It's crazy how time flies. I thought I would go ahead and post because we will be out of town on Sunday when they turn 11 months. Jerry and I weighed them recently and Eva Marie was 20 lbs, and Ella Kate was 23 lbs! They are both crawling and pulling up on everything, and they are at such a fun age! I used to think Ella Kate was going to start walking first, but Eva Marie might surprise me. The lady that keeps them told us that Eva Marie let go from what she was holding on to, and just stood there! They are so funny, and we love them so much.

What's that you say mommy?? I am going to be 1 year old in a month and 2 days??!!!!! WOW!
In shock when I told her she would be a year old in a month

Laughing at the fact that she will be a year old
Eva Marie loves reading her books, especially the ones she can touch/feel.

Sweet baby girl

Having fun with daddy!

Okay, so she wasn't really asleep, but her eyes closed when I took the picture. I thought it was hilarious; so I posted it.

Eva marie loved playing with the flowers on her shoes.

Usually it's Ella Kate being serious and Eva Marie smiling in the pictures...but not that way in this one!!
