Some pictures to brighten your Friday!

Pictures that i have been needing to post, but haven't been able too! Get ready to laugh, there has been some fighting going on between these two little girls! They are a mess, and we love them so much!

Me and my sweet Ella Kate And another picture...she is trying to get down at this point. I can usually get one good picture with her, and that is it! Eva Marie on the other hand...I can't get any with her. she wants to run around all the time!
For example, this is probably one of those times that we asked her to come to us...and she walks away from us. She thinks it's funny to walk/run from us! She likes to look back to see if we are coming after her. I will say, Eva Marie, you better not run from me, and this is the face I get in return! Ignore the stains, they had just eaten lunch!

You better come back here Eva Marie! :)

Before you start these next pictures, get ready to find some humor in it. These pictures show so much of each of their personalities! The fighting has begun at our house, and this is typicall how it goes......
Ella Kate wanting the toy Eva Marie has. Eva Marie thinking it's the end of the world if she takes it. She is very dramatic.
Ella Kate getting it for a brief second before the tug of war starts. Ella Kate looking at her sissy as if to say, "just let go!"
Ella Kate pulling harder, and Eva Marie still thinking that her world is OVER if she doesn't have that toy.
This would be Ella Kate's determined look. She gets this one A LOT when she is trying to do or get something. It usually means she is about to win the fight.
Still got the look.....
Tugging harder and harder....and the screaming is getting louder and louder!
Ella Kate won. We don't have a picture of it, but I am pretty confident that after this happened, Eva Marie probably laid down on the floor, buried her head in the carpet, and cried.

It's hard not to laugh, but it really is funny sometimes! Happy Friday!

Morning Surprise!

I had gotten the girls up this morning, got them dressed, and went in the kitchen to make breakfast while they played....they got really quiet; so I walked into the living room to find them both sitting in the laundry basket! haha! They just smiled at me! I got ready to take the picture, and Ella Kate was getting up...so, the picture didn't turn out well!

Good Morning Mommy!

Getting Ready for a Nascar Race!

Yesterday, Jerry was watching his usual Nascar race, and he always likes to log into his computer and listen to the drivers. Well, Eva Marie has become intersted in doing the same! She will walk up, Jerry will give her the other part of the ear phones, and she will listen. I'm not sure that I want her listening the whole time because I am sure there are some things being said that she doesn't need to hear! It makes for cute pictures though... Happy Monday!

Listening very closely
Trying to figure out what they are saying

Listening with daddy
Ella Kate wasn't interested in it...but I still took pictures of her (she just got up from her nap; so don't judge her hair!)

Still listening
I think she might have just figured out what they said! (mommy is hoping it wasn't something bad!)
very interested
Daddy telling her not to touch the computer

Like Father, Like Daughter

She loves to give kisses!
Ella Kate loves to play on the couch

Look at those teeth!

Sweet Eva Marie

17 Months and growing...

It's so hard to believe that the girls were 17 months old this month! Time is flying, and it needs to slow down! I forgot to post about their 16 month check-up! It went well, and they took their shots well. They screamed until they got a sucker, and then they were fine! Poor Eva Marie had to get her blood drawn to run some tests on her, and they took her blood like they take ours. It was so pitiful. They put a tourniquet around her arm, and put a butterfly needle in it. Then they couldn't find her vein, but Eva Marie took it like a champ....and once she got ANOTHER sucker, she was fine. I felt so sorry for her though. Test results came back normal; so that is good news.
Eva Marie weighed 23 pounds and some change, and Ella Kate weighed 25 pounds and some change...I don't have the exact amounts with me, it's written on a sheet at home. They both were 32 inches long. They talk all the time, and you can get them to say just about anything. It's funny because they will look at you, try to have a conversation with you, even though, you have NO idea what they are saying. They both can climb on our cough; which I'm not sure is a good thing or bad thing?? It is probably going to get them in trouble one day, but for now, it's funny to watch them. They love to give each other hugs and kisses; I am so thankful they love each other.
Below are some pictures over the past month. I'll try to do better about updating! Until next time....

they love to get in the laundry baskets?? have no idea why...
Eva Marie trying to give "her sissy" a kiss

Ella Kate standing up in her pink buggy...shortly after this picture, she tried to climb up the purple handle...and fell over!

Eva Marie singing "if you're happy and you know it" (doing the clapping part)

still singing "if you're happy and you know it" (doing the "then your face will surely show it" part)

Pretty girl...look how much her hair has grown!

LOVES to color!

bad hair day for Ella Kate, but she sure is having fun coloring!

Smile!!

Valentine's Morning...Ella Kate felt horrible and was so sick. That afternoon she started running a 102.7 fever and wouldn't eat anything...you can tell she doesn't feel good at all.

Time flies when you're having fun!

I cannot believe that we are halfway through January, and I have not posted anything since before Christmas! Time is flying, and I wish it would slow down. The girls are growing too fast. This Christmas was so much fun for us, and the girls had a great time. The holidays are busy for us, but we love the time we get to spend with family. Jerry and I decided to start some traditions with the girls this year: The obvious making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, and then going to look at the Lewis Christmas Lights in Purvis, MS. If you are not familiar with this, the Lewis family in Purvis basically take their yard, and cover it in lights. They also have wooden cartoon characters throughout. They have trails you can walk through and read the Story of Baby Jesus, and the Night Before Christmas. It's really neat! The girls had a great time, and they throughly enjoyed their presents from Santa! They have grown up so much in the past few months. It's amazing the things they can do and say now! They can just about crawl up on our couch, they are running all over the place, and they can say a variety of things such as: mama, dada, dog, hey, bye-bye, shoes, juice, please, and NO. They also love to do the hand motions to "If You're Happy and You Know It." They are so sweet, and we cherish each day with them! See below a variety of pictures from the past couple of months and a video.

When Hunter comes in the house, this is where he is positioned to catch all of the leftovers!

Eva Marie and Ella Kate's Christmas Tree!

Ella Kate loves to give open mouth kisses!

All bundled up to look at the Lewis Lights!

We stopped to take a picture with the 7 dwarfs!

Mommy with the girls and 7 dwarfs!

Eva Marie didn't want to look at the camera

I thought this was so cool, a tree that was hollowed out in the middle, and they put little figurines in it to look like they were climbing up in the tree!

Daddy with his girls. Ella Kate's hat kept falling over her eyes!

Family Photo! A couple there was kind enough to take a picture for us.

Making cookies for Santa. Yes, they are the pre-made dough, but next year will be homemade!

Looks like the same picture, but it's not!

Cookies all ready for Santa in front of their pictures with him. This will be another tradition, but more so for me...each picture with Santa will be framed and on a table at Christmas. I love to look at the year before and see how much they have grown!

Can you tell Santa has been here?

He left presents too!

Still needing to wake up...

Ready to go now!

Having fun in the ball pit!

love this picture
And this one too...
